    1. +Ashley Tamayo It looks like 1/3 or half cups of the dry ingredients. It was garlic powder, red chili powder, salt and she mixed those in the oil first and then put them in the masa and then she added the baking powder at the end. I am just guessing but most likely it is.

      Hay muchas recetas bien explicadas y auténticas de los originales Tamales Mexicanos, Not spanglish that First at all her recipe is wrong and second she makes it worse with the mixture of languages.
      And something also,
      A ti quien te dijo que los que hablan puro Inglés no están mensos lol.😂
      Por algo buscan en inglés recetas mexicanas, Feliz Navidad….

  6. I would like to let you know that your masa was very good I have question for a 100 tamales what would be your method of making masa for 1000 tamales ?

    1. Yes, but the
      chemistry of oil and masa is better….you will not have any fat in your steam
      water. That means the tamale will have a great texture….call me if you need
