How to make masa for tamales using a stand mixer
Soooo, the Shiner bock in the background was not my first, and I messed up the recipe. Here are some revisions.
After mixing the manteca with the whisk you will add the cold water to the manteca to help aerate it and give it more volume.
Once you get the Manteca nice and fluffy you might need to remove some to add masa to it.
Slowly work the masa until a small pea-sized amount floats in a cup of water.
Fill with desired ingredients, steam and enjoy!
