  1. These are as far from ‘authentic’ as you can get, at least authentic mexican tamales…a ball of masa and then plop chicken chunks on it, and fold into a little square? Not even close. And everyone who makes tamales knows that the preparation of the filling is the most important part…anyone can soak corn husks and make a simple masa mixture, but the actual preparation of the chicken wasn’t even alluded to. This was more an ”assembly’ video, and looking at the bland chicken and sloppy assembly, I can’t imagine how bad these tasted. And Emeril, you don’t have to slice the corn husks with a knife to get ‘ties’ for the tamales, just simply tear the stupid things man.
