  2. Hola Silvia, how nice to see the three generations in the kitchen together! Your mum did a great job, instructing us. I hope to see more of the three of you together,…not only a lesson on great cooking, but also a reminder of family love, respect, and sharing. All the best to you and your family. Much affection to you, and to my adopted Abuela!

  3. This is dangerous information to know! I love tamal, but I only eat them in resturants. Now that I know how to make them I’m going to need to buy bigger clothes. 🙂

    1. Shadowdog500 haha that’s the way I felt when I learnt how to make flour tortillas, I was like “oh no”

    2. Shadowdog: the real tamales are delicious, but we do have alternatives now, like using olive oil, coconut oil, butter, and also using small amount of those . As long as the tamale tastes corn I guess it is a delicious tamale

  4. Apoco son de nayarit
    Me encanta las recetas
I’m American married to a Mexican so I cook Mexican food all the time so your videos are very helpful

  5. Just the recipe I was looking for! I have my own recipe that my mom makes. It’s green chile with cheese as well but she adds a lot more ingredients. I wanted to find a chile recipe more simple and easy to make on my own. This will be going down in my kitchen later on this month!!!! Chow!!!!

  6. Gracias por compartir sus recetas (tengo una suegra que se cree gran chef, no quiere compartir sus recetas) asi que ustedes me han salvado… Gracias de nuevo… 🙂

  7. I love your Abuelita’s recipes! I love cooking mexican food, but she has given me some of her secrets that make a great meal! Love watching the both of you! My fiance loves the food I have been making from your recipes and says thank you! Thank you so much! Merry Christmas!

  9. After struggling to find the perfect tamale recipe to do I finally found it!! Doing these for Christmas!!!

  10. Binge watching your videos today on my birthday!! I prepare the masa with my hands just like abuela. Soy vieja tambien!! Love all the videos. Reminds me of when I was little and would hang out in my aunties’ kitchens while they cooked/gossiped. Happy, precious memories!!! God bless you all and happy birthday to Sylvia y la mama de Sylvia!!

  11. I love your videos. i will start cooking mexican food from this recipes. im mexican and never made a dish. i never cook. my husbands thai and his my cook, but its time for me to start cooking as well and the recipes look delicious. thank you and your grandma !

    1. Michael Moreno You can! However, you might get more sauce instead of chicken hence why most people add them separately 🙂

  12. Should you only stack one layer in the pot or can you stack multiple layers? I have a tamale steamer a little bigger than the one in your video.

    1. Maahi: abuelas are always adorable, no matter what part of the world they are, right?. They love their grandchildren to death, those little basstards…
